Is it Worth Going to Downtown Disney in April 2021?

It is hard to believe that it is has been over a year since Disneyland closed its doors. Thankfully, for people that still need a little hint of Disney magic in their lives, Downtown Disney has been open since the summer for people to enjoy. Whenever I am in the area, I like to stop by Downtown Disney. However, over the past few months, my experiences there have been slightly different every time. This was obviously due to Orange County's covid restrictions at the time, but this meant that sometimes there were trips that did not feel worth it. The last time I went, it cost $10 to park, was crowded, and none of the food stands were open. Though it was nice to be able to walk through Buena Vista street, this trip otherwise was a bit of a bust. However, due to the doors of Disneyland being opened again in just under a month, I wanted to check it out again and see how much has opened up.

I was very excited that Disney brought back the Eggstravaganza for 2021. The eggs seemed a little more out in the open than they had been in previous years, however this was probably because they wanted to reduce crowding. It was a fun and enjoyable 30 minute activity that got us walking around the shopping district. For $7.99, it is one of the cheaper activities that can be done on Disney property and it always is something I look forward to. Apart from the Eggstravaganza and various new spring snacks, Downtown Disney had no other spring additions.

We went on Wednesday morning around 10:00 am, and the shopping district was considerably more crowded than it had been on previous trips in the past year. It took roughly 20 minutes to get into any store we wanted to go to, however all the food shops and stands had opened up again and the waits for those were almost nothing. Apart from the mask wearing and social distancing lines, this trip almost felt completely normal. You still need to pay a $10 fee to park and there is no validation available, but I think that if you are in the area and want something to do for the day, Downtown Disney is definitely worth the trip.

Why Do Marc and Heidi D'Amelio Have Their Own Podcast?

Source: podcasts.apple.com     Charli and Dixie D'Amelio, both made famous on Tiktok, are arguably two of the biggest social media influencers at the moment. They have a combined total of over 160 million followers on Tiktok and have branched out to other platforms, such as Youtube, and gained a significant following there as well. Surely two people with that amount of fame have the capabilities to give other people in their lives a platform as well, simply by association. However, the amount of fame that their parents, Marc and Heidi, are trying to capitalize on leaves a sour taste in my mouth. They are not the first parents to try and piggyback onto their child's success, however, in an era where social media can make anybody famous overnight, it is a lot easier to see the problematic nature of stage parents.                Source: forbes.com       Stage parents ha...

Influencers Have Been Cancelled Before, So Why Does David Dobrik Feel Different?

Source: latimes.com     The past year has been the year to hold social media influencers accountable. Over the summer, people like Shane Dawson had a slew of concerning videos dug up that all but pushed him off the internet. People were angry, and rightfully so. However, the recent allegations regarding David Dobrik feel somewhat different compared to past celebrities that have been held accountable.      For those who do not know, David Dobrik has been under fire for the last few weeks because of clips featured in some of his vlogs. David's vlogs are usually 4 minute and 20 second long videos made up of 3-4 "skits" or clips that happen in his life. These usually showcase his group of friends, known as the Vlog Squad. The vlog that is being talked about currently featured David and his friends Dom, Jeff, Todd, Jason and Trisha. Others were also present, but these 6 are the most invol...
